Namaste. My name is Michelle Resch. I am an EMDR-trained clinician working from a trauma-focused lens with person-centred values, and I cherish the belief that you are the most important part of your healing journey. I have experienced the importance of an integrative, holistic approach to healing that includes systems, community, and connection. I strive to create a space free of judgement where together, we can tap into the mind and body’s natural ability to heal.
I work with teens, young adults, adults, and older adults. Inclusion and diversity are essential to me, and I warmly welcome those with diverse backgrounds and life experiences. I am eager to support you in an inclusive, safe, and supportive environment where you feel welcomed, especially if you’re in a non-traditional relationship or identify within the LGBTQ2+ community.
Emotion Regulation
I embrace the power of image, the root word of imagination as one of many tools for emotion regulation: as you stroll down a safe, winding cobblestone path, you notice the cold sensation of the rounded stones on the soles of your feet. You notice the gritty, bumpy texture of each pebble. The sun is warm against your face and the wind is strong against your back as though it is pushing you forward. Flowing blades of long, green grass line the edges of the path you walk along. You stop to notice the powdery, sweet scent of lilacs. You bring your attention back to the path you walk along as it begins to branch in several directions. The next route is yours to choose, and you may also choose if you would like me to walk alongside you.
